Terms of Service for Pick A Pixel

Effective Date: February 22, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing, accessing, or using the Pick A Pixel Chrome Extension (the "Extension") provided by Tooltera ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the "Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not install or use the Extension.

2. Description of the Extension

Pick A Pixel is a browser extension designed to help users pick colors from web pages, generate cohesive color palettes, evaluate contrast levels for accessibility, and convert colors into multiple formats (e.g., HEX, RGB, HSL, CMYK).

3. License Grant

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the Extension in accordance with these Terms strictly for your own personal or business purposes.

You may not:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Extension.
  • Modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works.
  • Remove any proprietary notices or labels.

4. Privacy and Data Collection

Your privacy is important to us. Pick A Pixel does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information.

All color picking, palette generation, and history tracking operations occur entirely locally on your device. We use browser storage (chrome.storage.local and chrome.storage.session) solely to save your configuration preferences, color history across sessions, and temporary state for keyboard shortcuts (e.g., Alt+P).

For more detailed information, please review our Privacy Policy.

5. Third-Party Services and Links

The Extension includes links to third-party websites or services (e.g., Google Forms for feedback). We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party web sites or services.

6. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

6.1. "As Is" Basis

The Extension is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

6.2. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Tooltera shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Extension; or (ii) any unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.

7. Changes to the Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will indicate the "Effective Date" of the modified agreement above. Your continued use of the Extension after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

8. Contact Information
